There is major talk now about Rangers’ acquisitions this summer. Now that the club has finally started to bring in some Rangers identity and Scottish identity, and a boy who should have been here long ago in Lawrence Shankland, there is now growing information that Rangers will take the window way more seriously and make much more obvious and grounded choices. Rangers set transfer targets on more Premiership talent.
Rangers Looking Closer To Home
That is to say, if we look at the nominations for Player of the Year, Rangers’ sights would be very much upon a fair few of those contenders.
Tawanda Maswanhise and Elijah Just of Motherwell, not to mention Claudio Braga of Hearts.
There is also Kilmarnock’s David Watson and Elliot Watt, also of Motherwell.
In short, Rangers would be looking at trying to bring in some of the best talent that the Scottish Premiership has to offer.
Consequently, this is the obvious market for players who know the league and who will obviously know what Rangers are all about and the demands expected at this club.
Rangers Need Rangers Men
Of course, we need Rangers minded players. We need Rangers blood in there.
How many of those guys are actually Rangers men, we could not precisely tell you, but we do know that we need more Rangers and Scottish men in there too.
There is indeed talk of these players being targets.
Of course, they are not going to come cheap, but if Rangers can get one or two within this range, it would be helpful.
We need the talent and we need the quality.
Naturally, there is one club in the Scottish Premiership that Rangers will never target a player from, but that is another story.
Time To Get Tough Again
Consequently, we hope to see other talent from the Scottish Premiership, like Shankland, arriving at Rangers this summer.
That way Rangers can finally start to get a gritty foot back into the Premiership.
We were miles off it this season. It was just not good enough.
Consequently, having players in there who can elevate Rangers to where we need to be, which is number one, would certainly be helpful.
No More Failed Imports
Rangers set transfer targets because we really do not want to be relying on players like Andreas Skov Olsen next season.
