Multiple sources have confirmed the story Ibrox Noise brought you in March, that Rangers are to make their move on Dundee defender Luke Graham.
The left-sided CB, 22, is a strong rising star in the Scottish game. He has already amassed 8 Scotland U21 caps.
Dundee are comfortably safe from relegation last season, and can afford to hold out for market value for the stopper. Rangers are very keen on securing him as the continued assault on the Scottish market takes place.
It is deemed that the Dee will seek around £3M for Graham, having rejected £1.5M from Portsmouth in January. Their solid SPL campaign and safety assured, they will be holding out for top money for their prize asset.
Rangers are seeking now to add a proper Scottish core to the squad. They have lacked leaders and grit for far too long.
Graham is a highly-rated young stopper. He’s at the right age to develop and clearly knows the Scottish Premiership and the demands of Rangers.
Graham is going to leave Dundee this summer. Dundee accept this but will not let him go for below his value.
His destination has been Rangers for some considerable time, and the boy is ready to take the next stage in his career.
He would join former team mate Lyall Cameron at Ibrox. Assuming the deal takes place and Cameron too returns fully to remain in Govan.
Time will tell on that one.
But clearly Rangers are starting to build a Scottish and Rangers nucleus and this summer could see a very, very different Rangers materalise.
