We probably shouldn’t be compiling this piece, but we can’t really help ourselves. Ibrox Noise will always tell the truth, and the fabrication around Emmanuel Fernandez has continued.
As we know, he was (seemingly) legitimately voted by his fellow pros into the Scottish Premiership Team of the Season. We don’t really know how. But they do know better than us plebs.

Equally EA put him in the ‘Rest of Europe’ Team of the Season as well.
But the curious one is Rangers’ fan vote pegging him as Player of the Season.
Now, Ibrox Noise has run many polls over the course of this season, and not a single one has significantly praised Fernandez in this way.
And we put it to the readers to vote their POTS. Fernandez wasn’t even close.
In an Ibrox Noise poll, the runaway winner was of course Mikey Moore, with 48% of the entire vote.
Jack Butland and Nicolas Raskin were reasonable second places, both at 19%.
Fernandez was way down in fourth with a distant 8% of the vote.

Why would they? Because there seems to be a bizarre machine around the Nigeria international about hiking his price up into the £40M range. Now, we would not be sad to sell him for a big chunk of change, so if any suitors are out there, you don’t need to see this article…
Indeed, Arsenal legend Alan Smith was on record as mildly mocking the idea his old club wants Manny. He’s not a former Ranger and unlike former Rangers men wasn’t towing the Fernandez line of hyping the boy.
And Rangers fans, the real ones anyway, aren’t fooled by this.
Fernandez has obviously done a lot better than his £300,000 market value suggested he would.
But only 8% of fans that we engaged with would place him as POTS.
Raskin, Butland and especially Moore all ranked miles better.
It’s also possibly based on timing. Maybe Manny had just had a great match when the official voting started, which made things favourable for him.
But that Rangers players, and Rangers fans on our networks all rate Jack Butland (Rangers Players’ Player of the Year) higher than Manny, it says something.
It’s just a bit odd. The fabrication around Emmanuel Fernandez is bizarre.
