Rangers fans livid in absolute outrage after Danny Rohl’s latest press conference. Aside from this astonishing claim that the manager has alleged that he is staying in Govan, there was further detail which Rangers supporters did not take kindly to at all. Rohl was obviously following on not only from the debacle at Parkhead, but also the fact that fan favour is now as good as zero towards him, even if some outlets still offer him some support. Consequently, the sight of Danny Rohl sitting looking borderline smug and with more of a smirk than anything else suggests that he is well and truly public enemy number one and now has fan favour very much against him.

Fans furious at Danny Rohl reaction
The responses to this video posted on Rangers’ X account speak for themselves, as fans find themselves disgusted at the man smirking, grinning and quite frankly looking quite happy with himself. The reality is that if ever there was a Rangers manager tone deaf to supporters, it is now.

Rohl loses all connection with supporters
Of course, the brutal irony is that Russell Martin and Rangers fans had a very bad relationship back in the day as well. There was no connection between Russell Martin and the fans, and the Russell Martin GTF lines followed soon after. Rohl did apparently have something of a connection, or at least the fans did to him, even if it was not necessarily mutual. Rangers fans livid and rightly so.
Smug appearance sparks more backlash
But that has completely gone now, and his smirking in a press conference when the league is gone, Rangers finished third, and he is now extremely unpopular does to us suggest that he is now completely out of touch. It is still only a matter of time before public opinion gets rid of him. The sight of him sat there looking that smug and happy with life really showed that Barry Ferguson was absolutely bang on, and we will get to that Barry Ferguson stuff in due course.
