As we know the Josh Windass to Rangers story was complete fiction. Despite having a large following and a credible CV, Ben Jacobs clearly got bad information and it was rejected fairly quickly.
Problem is, a big duffer like that and the ITKr tends to lose credibility, and furthermore, following it up with another potentially bad one doesn’t help.
Funnily enough, it’s another Rangers story, of sorts.
Scottish striker Robbie Ure set to leave IK Sirius in Sweden after 15 appearances and 14 goal contributions.

Clubs in England, France and Portugal have made enquiries.🏴 pic.twitter.com/0eJYs2kuN7
Jacobs yesterday claimed ex-Rangers striker Robbie Ure was leaving Swedish side IK Sirius after 15 appearances.
Problem is Jacobs’ information is potentially very debatable, and not only that, but his facts are false.
Ure has 45 appearances for Sirius, and 30 goals and assists. A quick search would have told Jacobs this.
He claimed clubs in England, France and Portugal are looking at Ure, and have made inquiries.
But if he could get the Windass one as wrong as he did, it suggests he’s done the same here.
People remember a bad story, a completely wrong one. These are delivered in good faith with the outlet relying on the source info.
But when you follow it up with another story and get all the numbers wrong, it suggests the info might not be correct in the first place.
He calls himself senior correspondent on GiveMeSport, and we’re aware that’s essentially a clickbait traffic site. He also commentates for TalksportLive apparently and has interviewed Enzo Fernandez.
So this guy isn’t a total charlatan.
But clearly his information just isn’t at Romano level and he will get stuff wrong.
Always seems to involve former Rangers players!
