“F*ck him”: ex-Rangers defender slaughters Danny Rohl

As we now all know, the James Tavernier statement from Thursday night has as good as sealed Danny Rohl’s fate, but it was the responses from his teammates which have categorically ended any chance of Rohl remaining in post.

James Tavernier, as we know, called Danny Rohl out as an outright liar by very carefully suggesting that the events presented by the manager did not match his experience.

That is to say that Rohl outright lied about the circumstances of Tavernier’s place on the bench and actions.

Dressing Room Reaction

Consequently, the dressing room rallied around James Tavernier because regardless of what anyone feels about him as a player and a captain, he definitely deserved to lead the team out on his final match at Ibrox.

The way it transpired was extremely toxic and we will get into that in due course.

However, the fact is that the dressing room rallied around him.

His post criticising and calling out Rohl’s actions has been widely praised by his own teammates and ex teammates.

Indeed, among those calling out and endorsing James Tavernier are the highly respected Leon Balogun and Ryan Jack, both of whom retain huge stock among Rangers fans.

They fully endorsed James Tavernier’s version of events and there was not a hint of backing for Danny Rohl.

Consequently, it is abundantly clear that Tavernier’s version of events is far more supported than that of Rohl.

Explosive Former Teammate Response

However, the big one came from ex teammate and indeed opposite side teammate Borna Barisic, Tavernier’s counterpart on the left hand side of Rangers going back a couple of years.

From Croatia, of course, he quite literally said, fuck him.

The screen grab will show you exactly how his former teammates supported him and criticised the now likely outgoing manager.

This was an explosive comment, to say the least.

It is pretty clear, abundantly clear, in fact, that there is absolutely no sentiment in favour of Rohl.

Even those who are ardent critics of Tavernier, including ourselves, back the former outgoing captain on this one.

Rohl Running Out of Time

Rohl has really covered himself in absolute ignominy in this one and consequently his time is absolutely running out.

But it is the simple fact that he has completely lost the dressing room, 100%, which shows just how far this one is going.
