Yes indeed, as we have alluded to, this is the first time since the early 80s, if not Rangers’ entire history, that Rangers have lost four matches in a row in the league. Danny Rohl is officially into full Nancy territory. We all recall the six losses in a row that Celtic had under that farcical end manager back in the day. In his case, of course, he never got going in the first place and was an absolute disaster from day one.
Rohl’s Collapse
Hilariously for us, Rohl deceived fans into thinking he was the answer. Of course, Ibrox Noise was never fooled by any of this, but nevertheless, seeing those four losses in a row in the split takes Rangers down a level to a point where we have never basically been.
It is, of course, the first time post split that any team of Rangers or Celtic has failed to win any of their post split matches. The fact of the matter is that these are all losses, not even draws, and we are losing to teams that, quite frankly, we should be able to beat.
Rangers should have the Indian sign over most of these teams. We should be challenging for the title, but that is long gone and not a single fan, we believe, truly wants Rohl to stay on.
Even his biggest fans are now trying to make desperate arguments, playing devil’s advocate about him, but there is a distinct lack of support now for him.
The Polls Tell The Story
We will report on the latest poll that we have run, but you can probably just about guess the latest poll for Rohl and the results.
But the simple fact is, four in a row of defeats in the league is absolutely a sackable offence. The matches were not dead rubbers. They were after Celtic, yes, but that was three in a row that meant something.
And Rohl could not get a single victory. He could not even get a point. And he still cannot.
Consequently, if the management and ownership stick with this guy, we are in serious trouble.
Champions League Failure
We have already explained the problems that Rohl has caused by failing to get Champions League qualification, never mind the automatic entry that we should have had.
But now he is causing toxicity in the dressing room. We are not saying all the players are innocent and completely blameless. It does take two to tango.
But the common denominator of all the fallouts this season is the manager.
The players, including Cornelius, Raskin, Tavernier and Curtis, have all had egregious moments with this boss. We will report that one later on.
All Is Not Well
But at the same time, at the end of the day, all is very much unwell at Rangers.
