Rangers secured a massive 3 points at Falkirk last weekend, with doubles from Youssef Chermiti and Bojan Miovski helping the side along the way. But alas Mikey Moore’s injury continued.

Unfortunately the biggest cost of this was seen at half time, as despite the comeback, Rangers, and one man especially, had struggled.

Mikey Moore, on such a blazing run of form lately, has sadly picked up a bad knock.

Insist

He insisted pre-match that he was fit to play. Sadly he was unable to deliver his usual and had to be removed.

Ibrox Noise sources tell us that his injury issues are a problem right now, and that few could be happier at the two-week break than he, to give him a chance to regain fitness for Motherwell.

He did his best on the dodgy surface, but with just 18 touches, Moore was miles below his previous 54 total v Utd.

He tried to dribble twice, and was unable to carry it, losing out both times, and overall Moore both lacked fitness and the support of the absent Rommens.

Confirmation

Indeed, speaking afterwards Moore confirmed his lack of fitness:

“Time to get myself 100 per-cent to be able to give everything in these last five games.”

AKA he needs this two weeks break to get himself properly fit. Because not only is he unfit, but he won’t have Rommens backing him up for a while either.

Bad news

Whether Moore’s own update is good news or bad news depends on your point of view.

Good, that he has time to get fully fit. Bad, that he both isn’t at the moment, and shouldn’t have played v Falkirk at all.

We can’t quite fathom why an injured player would be allowed to play. Especially on a surface that is dire for those with knocks.

But that was the decision at the end of the day and Mikey Moore’s injury continued.

And it didn’t really pay off too well.
