Rangers aren’t the only UK giant going through the same thing

A lot of Rangers fans are discussing the notion, as we have mentioned a few times, of ‘look where we came from’. Rangers are currently third. This provides a strong mirror echo of a phenomenon that Ibrox Noise has discussed many times. That phenomenon is Rangers and Manchester United.

Manchester United Parallels

Manchester United were in the bottom half of the table under Erik ten Hag. Then came his successor, Ruben Amorim. Consequently, Manchester United have been in a mess for a long time. They appointed Michael Carrick, who started to win things domestically. He began to look like the answer.

However, they rose up the table but remain almost 20 points behind Arsenal. That gap is unassailable at this stage. He also suffered his first defeat as Manchester United manager.

Shared Struggles

Consequently, there are parallels to be drawn with Rangers. Both clubs have been in a murky mire for as long as we remember. Both have been traumatised repeatedly by false dawns. Both have been going through this since almost the same year.

For Rangers it began in 2012. For Manchester United it began in 2013. The parallels between the two clubs are astonishing. They are arguably Britain’s two biggest clubs from each nation.

It is almost like reflecting each other’s behaviour. Bad management, bad direction and poor choices have plagued both clubs.

Years Of Mistakes

Mistakes at both clubs have cost enormous amounts over the years. Consequently, it is fitting that both are currently third. This is not where Manchester United should be in England. It certainly is not where Rangers should be in Scotland.

However, it is where both teams are. As we have said before, the league table does not lie.

Leadership Changes

It does not matter if it is Danny Rohl, Russell Martin, Philippe Clement or Michael Beale. It does not matter who owns the club. It does not seem to matter who the players are.

What matters is that we are third. The league table is not wrong. Neither is it wrong down south.

When will this ever change? We could not possibly comment. Ibrox Noise has proposed solutions before. We have been abused many times for doing so. Therefore, we have stopped doing that.

The simple fact is that fans favour the current situation. Who are we to argue with that?

Threats Below

Unfortunately, it means we remain third. We are now slipping down the table. Many are even looking at Motherwell as a genuine threat. They have been extremely strong this season.

The simple fact is that things look gloomy. Celtic have now gone past us. It is not what we wanted. However, it is where we are. How we get out of this is anyone’s guess. Rangers and Manchester United are painfully similar.
