It is safe to say that was not a good Celtic side. While Martin O’Neill’s visitors were strong last weekend in the second half, this time around they didn’t show up. Rangers didn’t show up either.
For the fact everything rested on this match, Rangers’ season that is, the home side mustered just 5 shots in total and none on target.
Celtic didn’t manage a single shot on target in the whole match and still won.
Four matches Danny Rohl has played against Celtic – one win, thanks to Lionel Chermiti. And that was against the ghastly Nancy regime, who outplayed us for 60 minutes.
Alas, he lost to MON’s Celtic in the League Cup, could only draw in the league, and has now lost in the Scottish Cup.
Rangers’ only slim chance of silverware now rests in the miracle of securing 56, and if we can’t beat a Celtic as bad as this, we doubt that one will bring us much.

We know that everyone is emotional.
It’s post-match and it’s another bad Old Firm result. But this one has cost a lot more than usual.
Rohl’s record now is 3 wins in the last 9 matches.
This is into Russell Martin territory. We’re not afraid to say that although we’re well aware many will abuse us for even daring to go there.
We know Rohl has a lot of popularity with Rangers fans who see where we were under Martin and thank the Gods we’re in third today. We were 6th when Rohl took over.
Whether that is enough for you, to make you happy with Rangers and Danny Rohl as manager, we cannot judge.
That is up to you.
It isn’t good enough for us, but that’s just us. Ibrox Noise and our high demands.
All we know is silverware is 99% gone, and a truly woeful Celtic have ended our chances of such a thing.
Is that down to Rohl? The players? The fans? Recruitment?
We’ll leave that up to you to decide.
Whatever is responsible, it doesn’t take away from another 99% barren campaign as a Rangers fan.
