‘We need strikers’
A common complaint Rangers fans have is that Rangers aren’t scoring enough goals. Ibrox Noise detailed how poor Ryan Naderi has been, and we’ve also illustrated that Youssef Chermiti and Bojan Miovski aren’t doing it either.
But this leaves a massive issue for the club.
And that problem is obvious.
Between them Rangers’ entire strikeforce has 21 goals in all competitions. 21.
Naderi hasn’t even scored in the league despite being here for a month and a half. And both Chermiti and Miovski have barely one in three each as strikers.
So it’s abundantly clear that our forwards fall badly short for finding the net.
However Rangers have literally spent £21M on the three. Chermiti was £9M rising to £11M appearance-based, and he’s already activated that. Miovski was £2.5M rising to £5M based on clauses, we’re less sure he’s activated the second £2.5M. And Naderi was up front of £5M.
But if they’re not scoring, and we’re to get new forwards, they have to be sold. And there’s a huge, huge issue.

Rangers would have to sell all 3 or one or two in the summer, likely at a loss, to have any space to bring in another.
It’s a huge, expensive problem Rangers are trapped in, with the only way out being a hope that all three find form soon.
Expensive
We have rarely seen an SPL Rangers with a striker group this bad at this expense.
Not content seeing Martin, Purdy and Thelwell waste at least £14M on Chermiti and Miovski, Danny Rohl insisted on helping the Sporting Director do it again in January with Naderi.
Rangers have absolutely wasted giant cash on terrible striker decisions, and with just 21 between them all season it’s not hard to identify the problem.
These 3 have hit 80 shots on target this season, but only yielded 13 goals league-wise between them
13 league goals between your £21M strike trio is something below appalling.
How do you just replace that lot? Youssef Chermiti and Bojan Miovski cost a lot.
Well Purdy was a big part of bringing them in, he will need to get rid.
