Why the BBC continue to source TeamTalk as a provider of Rangers news we’re not quite sure, given they use the clickbait professional that is Fraser Fletcher.

If ever anyone was a professional at conjuring stories from opportunism, it’s Fletcher.

Fabrication

It is disappointing to see the BBC quoting his/TeamTalk’s stories given just how fabricated they are, and we had to laugh at his bio:

“I am a highly-respected football transfer specialist, renowned for my in-depth knowledge and unparalleled insight into the world of football transfers.
With a career rooted in journalism, I previously served as a news journalist at the BBC, where I honed my skills in investigative reporting and cultivated a reputation for accuracy and credibility.”

Way to sell yourself mate!

His latest is based on the constant Tawanda Maswanhise rumours. The Motherwell winger is on fire this season and plays in a position Rangers probably need quality for. Left wing.

Ergo he’s the perfect target to make a story out of, and in this case, we’ve apparently ‘sounded out his agent’.

Approach

He is a player Ibrox Noise would take, but we have no information to any degree that Rangers have made an approach.

It’s a position Rangers have Mikey Moore and Djeidi Gassama in, the latter of whom hasn’t really set much on fire at Ibrox. Moore seems to have shoehorned into a 10.

Subsequently Maswanhise is a ripe target to pluck and discuss as a Rangers signing. His form and attention at the moment are making that a logical topic.

We do not have any confirmation that Rangers have approached Motherwell in any shape or form to discuss a transfer.

We’re also pretty sure you approach the club first then the agent, otherwise it’s ‘tapping up’.

Either way though, the window has a little bit of time left in it and we’ll be interested to see what can be done.
