Celtic collapse opens the door for Rangers revival

The growing storm at Parkhead has thrown Celtic into turmoil and handed Rangers a real chance to shift the tide. With Peter Lawwell quitting under (supposed) fan abuse and Wilfried Nancy already facing calls to go, Celtic are drowning. Meanwhile, Rangers’ steady form under Danny Röhl has kept the club within reach. That Celtic collapse opens the door for Rangers revival and if results fall right over Christmas, this narrative could flip fast.

Lawwell walks away as chaos deepens

When the Celtic chairman confirmed his resignation, many fans felt vindicated. Yet few expected such a public meltdown behind the scenes. Nancy’s start has been a disaster. Four straight defeats, including a brutal loss to St Mirren, have exposed him badly. Celtic fans have turned on him already. Angry chants echoed across the terraces while Rangers quietly kept their focus. This season still holds promise at Ibrox. Unlike recent years, the power may be swinging.

Rangers building momentum under Röhl

Danny Röhl’s Rangers are far from perfect but they are resilient. The team keeps grinding out results even when performances lack sparkle. That matters more than flair. The defensive shape looks better and Rangers players now fight for every ball. Most importantly, belief is returning. With the Celtic hierarchy in shambles and their players clearly lost, the blue side of Glasgow has everything to play for. Silverware is up for grabs and confidence is growing.

Hearts the key hurdle in the race

One problem remains. Hearts. The Gorgie side sits between Rangers and top spot and they will not go away. Their form has been impressive and they have learned how to win ugly. Rangers must stay consistent and treat every game like a final. Celtic will drop more points. That much is certain. The question is whether Rangers can take full advantage. With players returning from injury and January signings looming, the stage is set.

Danny Röhl will not get ahead of himself but he sees what we all see. Celtic are falling apart. Lawwell gone. Nancy drowning. Players turning on the fans and each other. The chance is there. Rangers need to pounce. They need to strike now while the green side unravels. For years we have watched Celtic dominate. Now, at last, it is turning. This is the moment to grab control and drag the title race back to Ibrox.
