Ibrox Noise is going to rather remain on the fence regarding congratulating Scotland. The national team of course got to USA last night by hook or by crook but unfortunately the past toxicity with Rangers is not exactly fuel for our wholehearted endorsement. But that said there are definitely huge benefits to Scotland getting to the World Cup next year. And one of the biggest ones is the boost in value that any Rangers players who play there will receive. Rangers player values will increase.

Rangers players and call ups

John Souttar of course almost certainly will get called up for the World Cup. Connor Barron may also. Liam Kelly too. Potentially Lyall Cameron along the way as well. The fact is that playing on the international stage for your country is a huge boost for your financial value on the transfer market.

Contract situations and market value

Souttar of course has his contract expiring that summer so that will be an interesting one to see if he signs a new deal or if it is left to run out. That is of course the slight caveat regarding his financial value. But the fact is the biggest bonus for these international events these major championships is the player values of those who get to feature for their countries there.

Global representation and trading benefits

We do not know exactly how many representatives from Rangers will be representing Scotland. Nor do we know what other nations will be there with some Rangers players in tow. We are unclear on why Rangers removed the tweet congratulating Nico Raskin of Belgium because we are pretty sure Belgium have got there. But either way that content is gone. He will be contract expiring 2027. Either way Rangers players playing for their countries at the national level and on an international stage at the highest level which is the World Cup will boost their value.

This is hugely important to the trading model regardless of your feelings of the trading model and those who run it. Rangers player values will rise. So it is definitely of benefit that Scotland got to the World Cup. Because after all we do not have any Danish players do we.
