As Ibrox Noise explained yesterday, Rangers have launched an internal investigation into Kevin Thelwell’s signings.

However, a further story has emerged, with claims online also backing it up.

Investigation

Before we go into that though, some fans have asked why Rangers are carrying this investigation out AFTER sacking him. Surely it would have been before. But then that’s like investigating a murder as it happens, rather than investigating the evidence isn’t it?

That said, what led to the dismissal? Well we explained it’s a case of success and finance. Read more here. But it is further explained by Danny Rohl himself.

In short terms, the boy does know football. Whether we think he’s good enough for our club is a different matter.

But we can tell you any blind bat can tell Youssef Chermiti was a staggering waste. Or that Joe Rothwell isn’t a footballer.

Rohl

From what we understand, Rohl not only called that out to the owners, he did so to the press too. His recent comments about Thelo Aasgaard were kind but a hint. A hint the players he has aren’t good enough.

Furthermore, we understand he called out the transfer list for January too. Ibrox Noise called that out as well. We explained the January list won’t fix this mess because it’s all Thelwell’s doing.

Rohl pegged that and on top of everything else, Thelwell and Stewart were both let go.

Scouting

The problem here is Rohl is still dealing with Thelwell’s scouting network, and the players they found.

Rohl would literally have to do this all himself in the next 4 weeks alone on top of managing the team. That’s a hell of a workload.

And that’s not possible. A man can’t manage the team and overnight scout a whole new squad Rangers worthy in four weeks on his own.

The unfortunate fact is Rangers are still left with Thelwell’s list. And that’s a big issue.

There’s also another problem that is arguably even worse. And we’ll tell you about that in the next one.
