Rangers fans trapped by an Ibrox hierarchy that doesn’t care

When Patrick Stewart, Kevin Thelwell and Russell Martin were effectively appointed as Rangers’ new custodians, Ibrox Noise was heavily on record as protesting. Rangers fans are trapped.

Man Utd

We had a Man Utd fail who presided over one of the worst eras at Old Trafford for one. Then we had the jake from Goodison who presided over the Lampard era in Liverpool. And to top it off Russell Martin, who had absolutely no managerial credibility to top it off.

Many ‘wise’ Rangers fans knew better than Ibrox Noise, and backed these to the hilt, especially Russell ‘he can handle a low block brilliantly’ Martin.

We never backed down. We never humoured the ‘he’s here now, just back him ffs’ mob mentality. And we decried the record season ticket sales knowing what was coming.

And here we are.

Hated

The most hated Rangers manager of all time, and a regime more despised than Mike Ashley, Craig Whyte, Derek Llambias and Charles Green put together.

One happy clapper put it to Ibrox Noise: ‘do you want the McGills back then’?

You mean the Easdales, whose interest-free loans and taking nothing out of the club actually saved Rangers from complete annihilation?

We were called clowns for that reply.

Unfortunately, a lot of Rangers fans deserve everything they get right now. They abused others for not backing Martin, and themselves are now angrily confronting these suits in person.

Revisionism

The revisionism too is diabolical. The fans who backed him are now claiming they didn’t. Without naming names, we’ve seen at least two major supporters groups who hugely backed Martin now come out on major media alleging they were against him.

Ibrox Noise was the only one who saw this sh*tstorm coming and stayed honest with you from the start.

But saying ‘we told you so’ doesn’t help anyone does it?

Rangers are in a horrendous trap now, a hierarchy that doesn’t care for the club or fans, and owners disinterested in making any changes.

The players are mostly absolute garbage, and fan apathy has taken over from the toxicity. And we don’t know what’s worse.

This club and its fans are trapped.

The only ones who can fix that are Andrew Cavenagh and his cohort Padraag Marathe. Not showing any interest in doing so, are they?
