We are absolutely infuriated at Rangers Football Club. The two picks we made at Ibrox Noise as potential new Rangers managers have utterly flown at their new clubs, and our club sits practically bottom of the league having dispensed with a fail of a manager.
Derek McInnes and Brian Priske were Ibrox Noise’s main two choices, not that we harboured better judgement than everyone else.
One knew Rangers and seems destined to be a manager at Ibrox one day, the other is a miracle worker.
Managers
McInnes: a Rangers man, a total bluenose, and the best Scottish manager around. He gets our club, the league, and he is the closest thing to Walter overall. He’d be going in with his eyes wide open. But we ignored that and he went to Hearts.
Priske: He took a club with the same expectation and the same lowly current status as Rangers and restored them as champions. Sparta Prague were once again the top club in Czechia and the man was recently out of a job. Rangers did chat but didn’t proceed. He returned to Prague and they’re back top of the league again. It’s basic freakin’ maths!
But no, we went for a hipster leftie with no business being a manager, never mind manager of Rangers FC, and the mess we’ve ended up in is shambolic.
It’s not just that we blame Patrick Stewart, even though Martin was his appointment. We just can’t abide our club frequently making such awful decisions, picking the wrong guys.
Gio and Clement
For us they did the right thing in Gio and Clement, but then didn’t support either of them properly. Instead we DID support Martin with around £45M and ended up wasting the lot.
To lose out on Priske and McInnes because the club suits don’t have a clue is why we are where we are.
We never sign the players we should, we never get the bosses we need.
We always go with chafe instead, and end up fighting with each other as fans because Joe Rothwell is garbage.
Will the club get it right this time?
Don’t hold your breath.
