Rangers absolutely need a hero at this point, a saviour similar to the return of Walter in 2007.

He saved Rangers from a dismal era under Paul Le Guen, and overnight returned Rangers to the summit of Scottish football.

Rangers need that more now than ever.

This club needs one man to fix everything that is broken in Govan, and that’s a lot of things. From a dire board, to miserable ownership, to the worst and most loathed manager the club has ever employed, Rangers fans need salvation.

Who is that man?

Ibrox Noise wouldn’t dare to propose. The two men we hinted at are both now gone – Brian Priske and Derek McInnes.

There’s Kevin Muscat as well but we suspect that boat has rather sailed. Steven Gerrard?

Whoever it is, he needs to be as titanic as Walter, that is what Rangers desperately require.

A man who knows Rangers and the SPL and can turn this round fast.

We can’t guess or predict who that can be, but we’ve wasted yet more time and money on another bad appointment. Martin, arguably, is the worst managerial appointment Rangers have ever made.

And who can fix that?

What one man can overnight restore harmony to Rangers, make us win again, and make our squad befitting of the club.

We have no idea, but it really is desperation now. A hail Mary for sure.

We are in need of so much CPR, we need another Walter. Rangers need a hero.

Unfortunately, in the gloom these days, we don’t see one anywhere.
