Rangers fans are going bonkers today after a potential new signing was being shown around Ibrox.

Rangers desperately need new defensive armaments and reports linked Monaco star Kassoum Ouattara with a switch to Govan, something potentially born out by this footage.

The left back who is also versed in left midfield has an excellent £8M market value and 23 appearances in France’s top flight. He also boasts a couple of outings in the Champions League.

He is quick, strong and intelligent on the ball. His style mixes defensive reliability with the ability to surge forward when space opens up.

Supporters are desperate for a player who can slot in instantly and raise the standard on that side. The clips have fuelled that hope as Rangers fans are going bonkers today.

Rangers have tracked several left-sided options this summer but none have the pedigree of Ouattara. His Champions League minutes give him a level of experience that few targets can match.
