Rangers fans recently voted on an Ibrox Noise poll with regards how the club has handled the left back crisis. Rangers are making a mess of left back.

For those under a rock, Rangers have no proper left back, not even with new signing Jayden Meghoma.

He’s just a project, another rookie, unwanted by Preston, a bit like £4M man Fernandez was unwanted by Peterborough.

As things stand, we really don’t have a LB and we asked Ibrox Noise readers to assess.

16% believe the club should have held onto Robbie Fraser, 13% think Ridvan should stay, while 10% endorse the club’s policy. A huge 62% believe the club is making a mess of the situation. That’s 1600 votes total.

Rangers right now have a rookie left back, Max Aarons who can’t play that slot and Tavernier who can’t either.

It is pretty dire, unless Ridvan comes in from the cold.

What planning led to this mess?

With Club Bruges arriving tomorrow, Rangers are a complete shambles, and of course Jefte’s departure is imminent so he was excluded from that squad.

We don’t have a single half-decent LB to line up against a side of the quality of Bruges.

It’s not good enough and it’s the latest stage in a complete meltdown over the course of this summer where an already-dire squad has been weakened even further and are in 5th place league-wise, probably with a bit of luck.

What next?

We don’t know, but the voting fans are not thrilled and Rangers are making a mess of left back.
