Strong links now suggest that three significant signings may be completed this week—Conor Coady, Kwame Poku, and Max Aarons. If these deals cross the line, it would finally mark the beginning of Russell Martin’s era in earnest. It would also send a strong signal that the new boss means business.

Two of the trio are seasoned Premier League performers. Aarons and Coady bring undeniable pedigree and experience, even if Coady’s star has dimmed recently. Poku, meanwhile, is a highly rated talent from League One. The last time Rangers dipped into that level with success, it gave us Joe Aribo—and that turned out just fine.

The current squad lacks quality. We simply do not have enough players capable of making a difference, and the lack of arrivals this summer only underlines that. Aside from the pre-agreed addition of Cameron—now sidelined with a calf knock—nothing fresh has materialised yet. It is frustrating.

Rangers desperately need reinforcement across the park. Poku is an attacker who can slot into midfield, Coady is a central defender, and Aarons fills the right-back berth. Versatility is great, but what we really need is impact, experience, and reliability. The idea of seeing these three walk up the Marble Staircase this week would be a major step forward.

So far this window, all we’ve had is noise without action. Other than a few early formalities, nothing concrete has happened in terms of ins or outs. It has been painfully static, which does little to inspire confidence with pre-season looming.

We at Ibrox Noise hope Rangers can get at least two of these three over the line by week’s end. The sooner we see new signings through the front door, the sooner this club can begin to rebuild properly under Russell Martin.
