Speculation is mounting over Jamie Vardy’s next move following his departure from Leicester City, with Rangers emerging as a potential destination. The 38-year-old striker concluded a remarkable 13-year tenure at Leicester, amassing 200 goals in 500 appearances and playing a pivotal role in their historic 2015–16 Premier League title win.

Former Rangers manager Ally McCoist revealed on talkSPORT that he had previously attempted to sign Vardy before his move to Leicester in 2012. McCoist expressed enthusiasm about the prospect of Vardy joining Rangers now, stating, “I would take him in two minutes at Rangers, I really would.” However, he also suggested that Vardy might already have another move lined up.

Adding to the conversation, former Rangers star Paul Gascoigne endorsed the idea of Vardy moving to Ibrox, believing the striker could be a perfect fit for the club.

Despite these endorsements, reports indicate that Vardy may be considering opportunities abroad, with interest from MLS clubs and a desire to avoid playing against Leicester in the Championship.
