Former Premier League manager Harry Redknapp has told football betting site BetVictor that he believes Rangers should turn to former boss Steven Gerrard to become their next full-time manager.
“I think Rangers would love to have Steven Gerrard back as manager,” he said. “He did a great job there the first time round and I’d like to see him back in European football. I think he’s got a lot to offer, and it would be great to see him back at Rangers.
“I look at Celtic taking Brendan Rodgers back – so why can’t Rangers do the same with Gerrard? Brendan has gone back and done a great job at Celtic Park. I know some of the fans were a little bit upset when he left the first time round, but that’s what happens in football – it was the same when I left Portsmouth then went back there.
“I believe Gerrard would be a great choice for Rangers again, and they’ll hope he can bridge the gap between them and Celtic.”
