Ibrox star targeted as Celtic struggle with Rangers loss

The fallout from Sunday’s stunning old firm win for Rangers continues as police Scotland open an investigation into Vaclav Cerny.

The Czech international infamously sprayed water over Celtic fans, admittedly giving them their first shower for a long time, but in doing so has been reported to the police on criminal charges.

The reasoning behind this seems to be to do with acid and the threat that that is what could’ve been in the pistol.

It is of course of valid concern, the winger didn’t exactly check what was inside the thing before firing and we do know that acid attacks are on the increase.

That’s also the notion of the provocation of those home fans by antagonising them in this way.

Of course in reality it is really just bitterness over the result in which Rangers stunned the home crowd with our first win in the east end since 55.

And only our third in the best part of 15 years there.

But with any bitter losers of this fixture Timothy isn’t happy and is using this as a way to attack and vent.

Will Cerny really receive a suspension? Will in fact he end up being reported to the police and having a criminal record?

Maybe in about 2-3 days, we’ll know …
