Indeed Rangers leader on the pitch actually appeared for the post match interview much to the surprise of the supporters who are usually note him hiding after such results.

The much criticised captain who has never been an appropriate choice as leader which was Steven Gerrard’s big mistake, nevertheless appeared in front of the cameras after the match looking crest fallen.

And a big shock and twist and surprised as that he did not say ‘disappointing’ but used the word ‘unacceptable’ instead.

It was about the first time that we can recall in recent memory that the captain has actually spoken with an element of honesty are not cliche.

He was critical of himself of the team and called the performers as we say unacceptable.

In fairness, it would’ve been ‘unacceptable’ for him to have called it disappointing again.

This really was a shocker even by Rangers’ appalling standard this season and for once Tavernier was not hiding behind half baked excuses.
