Thankfully with Aberdeen’s form collapse, they are no longer a threat to Rangers and second place and Dundee United are also some distance behind the famous as well.

Rangers do however face the sheep in what a few weeks ago would’ve been a critical match for second place aspirations.

With the sheep now well fallen away this upcoming fixture is about maintaining second place and extending away further from the Arabs who have played one more match.

Unfortunately, as we know the league is gone and all Rangers can do now is consolidate second place.

When Aberdeen were 11 points ahead then beat Rangers it did look like third place was the best we could do.

Momentum has swung as the sheep‘s form crashed and now Rangers face them in very different circumstances.

Rangers can really do now is just keep on winning but then that would make something of a change would it not?
