One of the most depressing things for Rangers fans as that if Rangers form was any better there would be much more of a title race.

Celtic last night dropped points for the third match in their last eight showing that Brenda is far from infallible but is not being challenged by Rangers at all this season.

This is a huge source of irritation to Rangers fans because had there been more consistency from Philippe Clements men Rangers would be much closer to the side who currently lead the race for the title.

This is by no means an infallible Celtic team and the fact that Rangers were able to beat them a few weeks ago is testament to how bad Rangers have actually been this season that they’re this far behind.

Indeed, how bad Rangers have been this season saw a team like Aberdeen also go miles ahead for a while.

Rangers spent £13.5 million in the transfer window and while our spending power is not as strong as Celtics that it has taken until deep January for the team to be comfortably in second place shows what a chance we missed by lacking consistency.

Celtic will continue to drop points, unfortunately so will we.
