Rangers fans are today wondering if Nigerian striker Cyriel Dessers has just said goodbye on social media after the forward posted a profound and heartfelt upload.

Following his three goal and assist outing against Highland side Fraserbrough many fans perceived his reaction on pitch to be a goodbye in itself with a lot of waving and more profound gesturing the normal but it was when he added the social media post to the collection that many started asking him directly if it was a goodbye.

Manager Philippe Clement made further comment after the match to the tune that the Nigerian is expendable and would be sold if a good offer came in and another striker could be found to replace him.

He far from suggested that the Belgian born hitman is irreplaceable unlike how he oversold Butland in the summer.

And with Dessers social media post looking very much like a goodbye it may well be that that was his intention and he went out with a bang.

Have we seen the striker in the shirt for the last time? Quite possibly, but we’ll see.
