Rangers are reported to be working on Ben Davies’ replacement in France’s Stanley Nsoki, with the Hoffenheim defender a loan target for Philippe Clement’s men.
The 25-year-old has fallen down the pecking order having only managed to be a late sub in Hoffenheim’s opener v Keil, and Rangers are looking to bring him to Ibrox as a new piece of defence armament.
His stable is a decent one, and he’s one the manager knows well, having worked with him at Brugge – he has 6 appearances in the Champions League, 28 in Belgium in the Jupiler, and 33 in the Bundesliga.
He can also boast almost 50 in Ligue 1.
It’s a signing to rather emerge from nowhere, and we’re talking about a defender with a former value of about £10M. So he is certainly of a solid stable and would be a good addition at Ibrox.
This would be Clement’s first addition of a former player, his having managed the lad at Brugge and giving him 20 appearances for the Belgian giants.
He’s clearly a player Clement rates.
Chances of this happening? Well, we have just 48 hours of the window to go, so hopefully this one can get over the line in time.
