Rangers fans were stunned today at the involvement (or lack of) involvement in today’s B Team clash from some key Rangers personnel with eyes raised notably.

Ianis Hagi was finally in a Rangers shirt again after being AWOL, but there were no places for Todd Cantwell or new signing Hamza Igamane.

Fans were more than a bit surprised that Rangers weren’t even giving Cantwell a shop window to keep his fitness up and try to appeal to buying clubs, while Igamane’s place in the Champions League squad only looks more absurd because he evidently isn’t going to take part in it.

The running of the club really is filled with bad decisions throughout, and while most fans were surprised to see Hagi back in the Ibrox shirt again, the lack of Cantwell for fitness or shop window or Hamza given he’s in the Champions League squad is a bit puzzling.

Some might say his being in the UCL squad means he can’t play in the B Team but that seems reaching, given he wasn’t even on the B bench.

As for Cantwell, he is well and truly axed by this manager – he says he wants to leave, and for now he’s training with the B Team but not playing with them.

It’s not a great state of affairs for a club who just keep throwing weird things out there time after time.
