Rangers’ sources have (again) confirmed Hamza Igamane’s injury after Ibrox Noise exclusively reported this some weeks ago, much to opposition from some fans.
We revealed to you some weeks ago that Rangers had a new injury blow with the Moroccan, and that he was set to miss the next four months with an unspecified issue; this was not entirely disputed by 4lads who could only give a very basic response when pressed on it.
They have further clarified and confirmed Ibrox Noise’s report:
Igamane does indeed have an issue, and he sustained it at the start of summer, at the tail end of last season.
AKA barely two months ago.
It has been further confirmed he is in ‘Danilo’ mode whereby the basic injury is mostly gone, but he’s now in simple rudimentary one to one physical training with Auchenhowie coaches and staff to try to build power and fitness back up.
In other words, he’s a mile behind in match fitness, isn’t completely recovered from his injury, and is nowhere near ready for opposition football.
The most perplexing part?
Rangers apparently signed this kid knowing he was injured already!
The signing took place four weeks ago, and he was already carrying a now-confirmed injury, and we have no idea how he passed the medical given the pre-existing injury was there.
Either that, OR it really is a brand new injury – either way Igamane is unavailable and won’t be back pretty much until we’re playing at Ibrox again we’d wager.
Not ideal – Rangers definitely need another striker up top because Cyriel Dessers and Danilo ain’t gonna cut it.
