Rangers are reportedly working on more midfielders with the news the club is seeking a loan deal for Liverpool playmaker Bobby Clark, 19.
The attacking midfielder, who has a decent 6 Premier League appearances and 12 senior Liverpool appearances total, is very much a promising rising talent at Anfield and his father said thus about him:
“He is more of an offensive midfielder. In a 4-2-3-1 system, he would be the midfield player closer to the striker in the No 10 role. He is very athletic, has a good change of pace, and he is tall for his age. He has good leadership skills. We have had good feedback from the coaches on how he captains both on and off the field.”
Last season was seen as a bit of a break out season for the attacker, and he even got a start in the Premier League, against Forest in February, and as we say, a bunch of other senior appearances including in the Europa League.
Market value?
Transfermarkt claims only €1M, but he’s an English player breaking through at Liverpool so we’d suspect he’s probably worth a few more quid than that, not that it really matters if Rangers are working on a loan deal.
There’s definitely scope to make this one happen.
Is he good enough? Hard to say, but he’s at a club where second is last, so he’s got the mentality for sure.
We’ll see if this one gets done.
