As Ibrox Noise is covering, Rangers jetted out to the Netherlands for the summer, and it was worth noting who made the trip out to the continent.

Ibrox Noise brings you a player-by-player guide of everyone we spotted heading out to Eindhoven.

Jack Butland, Robbie McCrorie, James Tavernier, John Souttar, Clinton Nsiala, Connor Goldson, Leon Balogun, Ben Davies, Jefte, Robbie Fraser, Ridvan Yilmaz, Mohamed Diomande, Dujon Sterling, Nico Raskin, Findlay Curtis, Cole McKinnon, Connor Barron, Todd Cantwell, Tom Lawrence, Alex Lowry, Paul Nsio, Ross McCausland, Oscar Cortes, Scott Wright, Rabbi Matondo, Cyriel Dessers, Danilo, Zak Lovelace.

That’s every single player Philippe Clement has at his disposal bar Hamza Igamane, who was at Ibrox instead and will join up later, and no apparent sign yet of Liam Kelly either, presumably extra time off after the Euros, or Adam Devine. We don’t know if Ianis Hagi will be returning before the end of the camp given his Romanian endeavours this summer.

We may have also missed some of these guys among the ruck.

The squad going to Holland is a pretty good flavour of where the club is right now, and we can safely say it needs a tonne of work.

There’s no point analysing in any major depth the strengths and the weaknesses, it’s abundantly clear it’s a dreadful squad with only pockets of potential.

Defence is abysmal, full back isn’t much better, midfield has potential but a lot of youth, attacking midfield is atrocious, wings are threadbare, and striker is feeble.

As things stand, a tonne of surgery remains essential, but that was the 28-man squad we spotted on its way to the continent.

If we remove the youth/young players Nsiala, Fraser, Jefte, Curtis, McKinnon, Nsio, Lowry and Lovelace, we’re left with ~18 ‘senior’ outfield players.

Hardly encouraging as it stands.
