Reports in Romania claim Ianis Hagi has found his next club, with a permanent move to Italian giants Fiorentina on the cards.
The playmaker is done at Rangers, with manager Philippe Clement not interested in his services at Ibrox any more while the player himself instructed his agent to express much the same, that he too was done in Govan.
From those Romanian outlets, it’s been alleged Hagi has agreed terms on a £20,000pw wage in Serie A, with the clubs now getting together to agree a price – Rangers are said to want £3M – aka, what they paid.
And now as well as his dad and his agent, his mate has more or less (cryptically) confirmed:
“And if I knew, I wouldn’t tell you. I don’t think you should talk to me, but to Ianis. So you should talk to him, maybe from tomorrow onwards”
That mate is Gică Popescu who is another Romanian legendary footballer, now chief of Romanian side Farul, and close to the Hagi family.
The hint in there of course is ‘maybe from tomorrow onwards’ because at that point there might be something to actually say.
Hagi’s Rangers race is well and truly run, the club has no interest in him and he’s not returned to Glasgow after the Euros, with no apparent intention of doing so.
Hopefully the price can be sorted quickly and Rangers and Ianis Hagi can part company for good.
