Aberdeen have ‘confirmed’ their price on star man Bojan Miovski after rejecting a £3M bid from Espanyol, revealing the Pittodrie side seek around £5M+ for the Macedonian striker with Bolognia and Genoa among those interested.

Rangers haven’t made a move for him (any more than they have for Lawrence Shankland) this window but given the club’s finances saw £2.5M for Connor Goldson come in alongside £4M for Sam Lammers (yes really) there are a few pounds to now play with.

The Lammers £4M especially helps to find some arsenal up front, so Rangers do have some money to play with for Miovski or Shankland, but as usual aren’t doing so.

And with the Dons effectively confirming they expect £5M+ for their star striker, we’re not sure Rangers are going to go that high.

Funnily enough, we just spent £4.5M on Mohamed Diomande, and last window shelled £6M on Danilo not to mention Dessers – Rangers only seem to want to spend the big money when it’s on unknown randos rather than established quality strikers seasoned in the Scottish Premiership.

We’re not quite sure why that is, but then equally the SPL to SPL club record still, absurdly, sits at £4.5M between Celtic and Hibs for Scott Brown and that was a different lifetime ago.

Whatever the cause, Rangers aren’t making the move for the Macedonian, and almost certainly not at £5M.

But we guess if he played for Rapid Bucharest that would be fine…
