Rangers fans have been voting for a new striker, with speculation rife about the likes of Rapid Wien’s Albion Rrahmani being prominent, but we at Ibrox Noise wanted the old favourites of Lawrence Shankland and Bojan Miovski taking centre stage in this head-to-head poll and we have an answer, definitely of who Rangers fans want at Ibrox.

Of both strikers, of Hearts and Aberdeen respectively, there was an overwhelming winner, and it wasn’t even slightly close.

In Ibrox Noise’s poll of 1000 fans and counting, 77% wanted Aberdeen’s Bojan Miovski, while just 23% favour Hearts’ captain Shankland.

This is not that unsurprising.

With Shankland’s recent comments in the press rather pushing away from a Rangers move, slightly 180 spinning back on his previous ‘I must leave’ rhetoric, Rangers fan favour may have pitched a bit more now in the North Macedonian’s favour, not to mention the clear Nils Koppen and Philippe Clement signing policy of youth.

And that means 24-year-old nearly 25-year-old Miovski is more along the lines of that transition, while Shankland at 28 and nearing 29 might be on the ‘too old’ side of football.

Either way they’re both great strikers, but Rangers fans are unlikely to get either of them with reports about Kosovo man Rrahmani getting more and more intense.
