So without a single point even looking at the Hearts match, we focus a lot of attention on next weekend and the Scottish Cup Final v Celtic, and a fixture that promises a lot of tension for Rangers fans, as Celtic will go in clear favourites.
Indeed, currently Rangers are 6/5, and Celtic are overwhelming favourites at 4/6.
So what is Ibrox Noise’s take?
Well, we ran a poll, and we have to say the optimism is overwhelming from fans – 91% believe Rangers will win the final, just 9% say Celtic, in a poll of around 1200 and counting.
Curiously, most of the comments, 50 and counting, from Rangers fans, suggest Celtic will win, which contradicts the poll’s data.
But then comments frequently do.
Ultimately, we on Ibrox Noise can’t see anything on this site aside Celtic winning the cup, and going past Rangers on overall domestic cup silverware (63 to Rangers’ 62).
Bottom line our form is tragic, most of our squad is injured, and our manager basically doesn’t know what he’s doing, particularly against this side.
It is a gargantuan mess these days, and we’re expecting him to concoct a masterclass against Celtic in the final next weekend? From where? Where is there any reason to believe Clement can suddenly turn around a win when our form is so poor and Celtic are going for the double.
Clement can’t beat Celtic, he can’t handle it (yet), and the players aren’t up to scratch when they’re fit, never mind when half of them are on the treatment table.
So we’re not buying into a Rangers cup triumph without a shred of credible proof explaining how it’s possible.
As you may have sussed, our belief levels in this regime are on the floor.
To have faith, there has to be a bit of reasoning, a possible hint of where a win could come from.
At present, we’re unconvinced by anything in this current Rangers regime.
