Rangers fans have overwhelmingly backed Philippe Clement as the right man to take the club forward after an Ibrox Noise poll confirmed 84% believe in the Belgian 3x league champion to be the correct choice going into the new season.

In an Ibrox Noise poll of 2000 and growing at the time of writing, only 3% of votes believe definitively that Clement is the wrong man to take Rangers forward, while a modest 13% of replies weren’t so sure either way.

But the overwhelming vote of 84% (1700+ votes) confirms the vast, vast majority of Rangers fans have put their trust and faith in Clement to get it right this window and to win the league next season.

It’s pretty unequivocal.

Ibrox Noise, as a group, within our people, are not as flattering towards Clement, and most of us have massive doubts at best about him, having been unconvinced by a lot of things that have happened since the Motherwell loss, but the wider fanbase is what this poll was about, and we completely respect their view and hope absolutely that they are bang on.

All we all want is a good Rangers, a winning Rangers, and a successful Rangers, and a huge 84% of the voting response believe Clement is the right man to do that.

He absolutely is a winner, he’s done it many times before in Belgium, and there’s no denying it’s not a stroll to win the title in the Jupiler Pro, but the pressure at Ibrox is like nothing on earth and Clement has definitely struggled a bit in the past few months to handle that.

But the fans have the faith that he’s the man to get it right next campaign, and have put their hopes in him.

We all cross our fingers that verdict is the correct one.
