Rangers’ trip to Dundee is under major threat as the club confirmed it is in constant dialogue with Dens Park officials regarding the torrential rain enveloping the Tayside outfit.
Ibrox Noise sources close to the scene have confirmed the issue is a massive threat, with a waterlogged pitch and borderline monsoon conditions playing having with the match’s schedule’s kick off time, and at present the situation is a lot closer to it being called off than going ahead.
With thousands of travelling Rangers fans getting ready to make their way north to Dundee, this is a situation that will need an answer very, very soon indeed otherwise a lot of unhappy travellers will be required to make an about-turn before even reaching the north of Scotland.
But ultimately, the players’ safety is the most important thing and the match should be given till as late as possible to go ahead, even if there is a major risk to the fans in terms of happiness over travelling arrangements.
It is a frustrating situation but more as we get it.
