Rangers fans have overwhelming voted to sack Michael Beale, in one of the most one-side polls we think we’ve ever run on Ibrox Noise.

Of around 2500 votes, 84% wanted to dispense with Beale’s services, while just 16% believe he is the right man going forward.

We understand there’s another similar poll on another large Rangers community, with around the same numbers of voters, and a score in the region even higher than Ibrox Noise’s, of 88% wanting rid of the former assistant.

There is no doubt Michael Beale has lost the faith of Rangers fans – he lost Ibrox Noise’s faith when he hijacked that 2-2 v Celtic last year – that was the big blot, which showed us for all the ‘new manager syndrome bounce’ that Beale had got from taking over, he was sadly incapable on the big occasions of making the right calls.

Since then, and including that, Beale has failed on every significant major test of his Rangers career, and fans have clearly lost patience with him.

‘But if Man Utd thought like that, Sir Alex would never have ended up the legend he did’.

Well, no, because he had already won the cup winners’ cup with Aberdeen, a host of trophies and titles domestically and was clearly a top manager who had the world at his feet. Yes, Utd did give him a lot of time, but it was a different world back then, and they stuck with him because of his staggering achievements with Aberdeen.

Beale’s second place for a few weeks at QPR isn’t quite the same is it.

‘But Beale was the architect of 55’ – well we’ve explained this one. Yes he was the architect of the choices Steven Gerrard made, but it was Stevie who actually made the calls. It was the equivalent of of Gerrard picking the right house of all the options Beale had built. He made the possibilities, but Stevie had to get it right. And it did take 3 years for this team to do it.

And fans have clearly lost patience in Beale.

It’s game up.

  1. As soon as possible no waiting this is not going to get any better. He must go and we then sign Derek Mcinnes with Neil Mcann . The board needs to act immediately as this will cost more in the long run. We then need to evaluate the whole squad and again cut our losses . Those that are not staying don’t play only unless we have real need.

    • What have Derek or Neil won ? I agree we replace but needs to be someone who can take us back to the top. Also Mcinnes bottled it before to be our manager.
