Harry Souttar will not be joining Rangers according to 4lads speaking on Rangers Review, after the fan site was informed by club officials that the story was a complete non-starter.
The brother of John has found himself exiled at Leicester, omitted from match-day squads and not being involved in any of the ongoing progress as the Foxes look to bounce back quickly into the Premier League at the first time of asking.
As such, there were very strong rumours the Australia defender was going to join Rangers potentially on loan, with a view to the ‘dream team’ of pairing him with his brother in the heart of Rangers’ rearguard.
But the club have now confirmed by way of 4lads that it’s not happening, and Harry Souttar will in no form be joining Rangers.
Michael Beale has revealed he does want another defender, preferably a left-sided one to replace the failed signing that was the hopefully-departing Ben Davies, given Johnly Yfeko is too raw and we have no other lefties at all at the back.
But for now Connor Goldson, Leon Balogun and of course Harry’s brother, the outstanding John Souttar are confirmed as the three main options at the back.
But sadly, Harry will not be making it a quartet.
Que sera.
