Ibrox Noise is today thoroughly amused at the number of partners we have who have been providing us with exclusive source material for Sunday’s Old Firm, but the amusement is that every single quote is from a Celtic man.

Ibrox Noise, is, as you know, a Rangers site for Rangers fans, and yet the press is filled with Neil Lennon and Gordon Strachan sticking their oars in and talking about our club.

With some of our partners expecting us to publish that material. We do them a slight disservice, they provide us with valuable source material and a lot of it is extremely relevant – they are appreciated.

But just recently there’s been a staggering ramping up of Celtic people chucking their oars into Rangers topics and taking digs at the club. And we only know this because we’re being sent it into our inbox.

We assure you, Celtic news isn’t something we ever actively seek, nor are the perspectives of present and former Celtic men either.

It’s just the fact there’s more in the press about Celtic people giving Rangers advice on how to win – have you ever heard anything so preposterous?

Rangers’ three-step guide to beating Celtic, by Celtic fans. It’s literally the most absurd thing.

So, no, we shan’t be publishing that we’re afraid, even if other ‘Rangers’ (we use that loosely) sites are using similar material in order to get clicks.

The same ones who would quote Rangers-hating Hibee Tam McManus and his thoughts on our club, the same ones who regularly headline with Chris Sutton’s name.

We’re not afraid to call them out, they all know who they are and they don’t care either – it’s all about monetisation for them, and they’re just using our name for traffic. Always have, always will.

Ibrox Noise, yes, uses revenue and advertising etc to keep the lights on, we admit that, but we’re run by Rangers fans for Rangers fans and we want what’s best for the club and we’ll never shy away from supporting or being critical when appropriate.

We really don’t care what Neil Lennon thinks about that.
