Raskin starts for Rangers as Michael Beale goes for it at Livingston
Looking a bit happier in the past....

Michael Beale has put all his available eggs in the basket today v Livi, leaving a scant bench without too many options.

Of the injury cases, the only players to make it on the day, mercifully, were Connor Goldson and Nicolas Raskin, alongside Roofe on the bench, and those two make the starting line-up infinitely stronger than Ibrox Noise feared without them.

John Lundstram, Ryan Jack, Ianis Hagi, Scotty Arfield and a glut of others sadly did not make it, meaning the bench remains extremely thin with a real lack of quality aside Colak and Roofe, unless one counts Wright and Sands.

While the starting line-up is delightfully strong, and contains Rangers’ first-choice defence and a strong midfield selection along with the manager’s favourite attack, there are a lack of options to change things from the bench, with the injury crisis in full flow as 10 players miss out:

McCrorie, Helander, Souttar, Ridvan, Lundstram, Jack, Davis, Hagi, Lawrence and Lowry are the headline names to fail to make it in any capacity for this one, but hopefully there’s enough in the tank in the starting XI.

Thankfully, the manager also did not decide to save Allan McGregor, and used him instead today, as opposed to deploying the abysmal Jon McLaughlin, who we suggest will be told in the summer to find a new club.

McGregor is well past his best too, but in a choice between he and the hapless McLaugh, it’s McGregor every single time.
