Regulars to Ibrox Noise will know we’ve probably never admired the character of a current Rangers manager less than we do Michael Beale. We’re honest enough to admit that, that while we support his endeavours for our club, and backed him all the way as new boss, it doesn’t mean we actually have to like him as a man wholeheartedly.
We can separate the man from the manager though, and on that note he richly deserves his manager of the month award for December, given he’s yet to lose a match, and has won 5 of the 6 matches he’s coached.
The football has been decidedly better, the attacking flair vastly improved, and the players generally look far more forward-thinking, while defence has overall gone in the right way too.
While half of what Beale says is absolute nonsense or outright false, his job is not to impress Ibrox Noise with honesty, his job is to win football matches for Rangers, and on that note he’s doing well, very well.
Yes, he absolutely messed up v Celtic, and stole a draw from the jaws of victory, but he’s still pretty new to being the main manager, having only begun last summer with his last job, Queen’s Park Rangers.
But as they say, Michael Beale can only urinate with the male rooster he has, and while we’ve explained how our squad is a tonne better than some give it credit for, he still needs more bodies back and more new signings to outright catch up with the Parkhead lot.
Beale as MOTM, over the Stavros guy in the east, is quite impressive for our league. Former boss Giovanni van Bronckhorst did win MOTM as well now and then, but for Beale to get it in his first full month shows he’s made an impact for sure, a good one.
He’s getting players back, with Ianis Hagi and John Souttar returning to training at last, and more will follow we hope, with Tom Lawrence, Kemar Roofe and Filip Helander hopefully not far behind. This can only help him strengthen what he has going forward.
MOTM? Well-deserved, and here’s to many more in the future for him.
Honestly have to ask what it is you do not like about Beale. Yous were soo into GVB then you lost faith. Who would you rather have in charge. I like Ibrox noise but always contradict themslves
We wouldn’t rather have anyone else mate, you can’t seem to understand basic English? Just because we don’t like Beale as a person doesn’t mean we don’t rate him as a manager. Maybe understand the article which says the manager of the month was richly deserved rather than taking wee bits of it and ignoring the rest?
