Rangers could be set for a massive boost amid shock starts for Ben Davies, Ridvan Yilmaz and Rabbi Matondo in Belgium tomorrow.

Giovanni van Bronckhorst has confirmed Yilmaz and Matondo will travel to Union Saint today, and that Matondo is recovered from the small issue he had last week – he was spared the Livi surface.

Meanwhile Yilmaz trained with his new team mates yesterday having flown in from Turkey and is now fully integrated with the side in lieu of the flight to Belgium.

Will both start?

Yilmaz is said to be fully fit after a small muscle injury at the end of his Besiktas career in May, so we will see if Gio takes a massive call in starting him tomorrow night – he is fit, ready, and available, but whether GVB deems him ready to line up we’ll see.

Matondo is – he’s ready, and we’d be very surprised if he doesn’t start this one.

Rangers want to be at as close to full strength as possible and as far as we know, Davies is ready too.

And after John Souttar’s struggles (more on that later) it could be a completely overhauled left side of defence for Union Saint.

We guess the proof is in the pudding come quarter to 7 tomorrow night.
