It’s going to take some time to digest tonight’s heroics, but Rangers’ gigantic win in Holland was worth £65M.
That’s right, right off the bat Rangers have just pocketed £65M for getting to the CL.
The money in this tournament is night and day to the pennies earned in the Europa League. Last season’s run was great, of course, but the CL is where we want to be, and even Gio admitted it’s the target.
And the lucre… the filthy lucre.
Rangers just secured a grand total since last November of £150M+.
Think we’re exaggerating? We’re not.
£4.5M for Gerrard.
£16M for Patterson.
£30M for UEL campaign.
£10M for Aribo.
£23M for Bassey.
£5M for getting to playoffs.
£60M+ for securing group phase.
The coffers are now sorted. Completely. Rangers’ financial issues, which were mostly sorted anyway, are now completely in the black and we have real, REAL money.
This night changed absolutely everything for Rangers and we will discuss it all over the coming days.

Where are you getting £60 m from I was on the understanding it was £40m for getting to the group stages and as a gers fan I am struggling to see where the money from last seasons run in Europe and player sales has gone as the debt is still there and if we never qualified for cl there was no money to spend on players for this season

I would love to think we have made over 160 million ,but it might be slightly fanciful 😳,In the next accounts I expect us to turn a decent profit ,Then next accounts with CL taken in to account possibly 20 -25 million in bank ,as always with clubs of rangers size though it takes a LOT of money to keep them going ,so we shall see 👍
