Rangers hit with hammer blow as Gio’s men travel to Belgium
Absolutely diabolical state of affairs now...

Rangers have been hit with a hammer blow for Tuesday night after one of the typical European high performers, Ryan Kent, was confirmed absent with an injury picked up at Livi.

The winger, who has had his critics of late, did not travel to Belgium with the group and will play no part in the crucial qualifying leg, reducing Gio’s options a little.

Attack-wise the manager has Tillman, Wright, Matondo and Lawrence at his disposal, but none of them are proven at this level and indeed none of them have even played at this level bar Wright in Rangers’ Euro adventures in the UEL last season.

So it’s a bit of an unknown for most of them.

That said, that wouldn’t be any different if Kent was playing, because he’d still be partnering potentially a couple of other creative attackers who haven’t been at this kind of level in the past.

But nevertheless you want your best players at this point in the season and Rangers are having to travel to Belgium without Kent and Morelos at their disposal (albeit the latter will fly regardless).

It’s a blow.

  1. We have the players in our squad to go out and get the win we need tonight. I’m sure that John sutter will be a great signing all players make mistakes when they goto a new club .
