What starting XI will Rangers manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst opt for tonight?

Ibrox Noise brings you our punt for the eleven men charged with taking the Famous to the next round of the Champions League:

Goals:

Allan McGregor

Yup, we think for the big meaningful huge match that this is, the heavy hitters will be out, and that includes our best goalie.

Defence:

Tavernier and Goldson. Obvious enough.

Partnering Goldson? Sands again, like it or not, he’s not been as horrible as many of you want to believe, and in fact was rather tidy v Killie. Left back? This is a toss up. Yilmaz had a difficult start v Killie, and Barisic’s cameo was solid. Gio may opt for the experienced man.

Midfield:

Lundstram and Davis. Simple as. Jack and Kamara aren’t up to it right now.

Attack:

Tillman, Arfield and Wright. Matondo hasn’t shone yet, and Wright frankly has this season. The Scot looks hungry. Lawrence or Arfield? Was better v Killie and showed signs of his quality – that volley attempt was sterling, but we need experience at this level and Scotty has that. Tillman has shown brightness and we’d be surprised if he doesn’t start.

Up front:

Colak. Alfie is fit to play a role, but we’d be shocked if he’s in the starting XI.

McGregor; Tavernier, Goldson, Sands, Barisic; Lundstram, Davis, Arfield; Tillman, Colak, Wright.

Plenty of options on the bench – Lawrence, Matondo, Morelos, Sakala that can make a difference.

And no, we don’t think Kent will be in the squad at all.
