Kemar Roofe to exit Rangers as club runs out of patience

Kemar Roofe is headed for the Rangers exit door after the club gave up on him, according to sources.

The Jamaica international, who has been perennially injured since joining, is said to have a ‘mystery’ injury this time keeping him out of the Portugal trip, but information is he’s stayed in the UK because the club have no intention of keeping him and are looking to ship him out.

Some Championship sides are said to be keen, but from what we understand, ‘mystery’ injury basically means there’s very little actually wrong with him and his attitude isn’t good enough – he is reported to have withdrawn from the trip to the Algarve himself.

This also explains the fervent increase, along with the exit of Joe Aribo and the serious injury blow to Ianis Hagi, in looking for attacking players lately.

Tom Lawrence is in, Antonio Colak is in, Rabbi Matondo is said to be close, and Rangers have been closely linked to one or two others.

But it looks like the end of the road now for Roofe with his missing Portugal being the final straw for the club.

We’ll see how it unfolds.

  1. Not a great loss to the squad, his continual absence was frustrating. He only showed flashes of what he could do. I think Stewart from Sunderland might be a good replacement.

    • I would rather go for someone like Joel Piroe from Swansea, hes rated 7m and was a 1 goal in 2 last season. Plus hes young so we couod make good profit down the line. Hes also Dutch so mabay Gio could persuade him. But would the board give us the cash ?

  2. Great news frees up a wage
I said he was done and no more passengers

  3. As far as I am concerned he’s been at it for long time ,no miss ,don’t let the door hit you on way out ,just another bale ,Ramsay that football comes second in his life ,money ,hobbies first .

  4. I think the sources may be wrong , I seen today he was busting his ass in a video trying to get fit .suprvised by the team doc and physio .
Still not my favourite though .

  5. Maybe rangers wanted him monitored by the doc and physio at home ? His body language did not give off vibe not interested .I do believe he is away first decent offer mind you ,due to horrendous injury record ….if anybody willing to take a gamble .
