News spreading today is either confirming what Ibrox Noise told you some weeks ago or just copying it, in that Niko Katic, Glenn Middleton, Jack Simpson and Stephen Kelly have been told they are not in Rangers’ plans and should look for new clubs.

Naturally, we brought you this easily a month ago, and national red tops are only now reporting it, which either is confirmation one way or the other, or as we say, these outlets just regurgitating our story.

We also told you Jake Hastie was included in that list, and he did indeed fairly quickly move onto pastures new, but there was a lot of rage in the air when we included fan-favourite Katic.

In terms of he, Kelly, Middleton and Simpson, yes, we told you individually about the Croat and Simpson, with both given permission some time ago to find new clubs – big problem with Simpson is his deal still has years to run and he’s not going to want to just leave without getting a tasty pay off.

Middleton is said to be interesting Dundee Utd and St Johnstone, and the sooner he can finally get his career going and settled the better for the boy. It didn’t work out at Rangers and he’s missed about 3 years of proper development as a result.

As for Kelly, had promise, but couldn’t impress enough to get a real fist at the first team. There are very few Rangers fans who would want him in the side over Lundstram, Kamara or Jack as things stand. And the lad needs minutes. So it’s better for him to move on.

All four are likely to find something new fairly soon, and we hope it all gets resolved to everyone’s satisfaction.
